(Update 19/01/2011) - Underworld Review Thanks to Adam Evans for reviewing the Underwolrd gig in December. Here's what he had to say about Training Icarus:
Having seen epic-metallers Training Icarus perform several times in the past, it is refreshing to find surprising depth in their music. The bass's crunching chords give the four-piece a fantastic boulder of sound, which the guitarists’ no-nonsense solos mirror at Iced Earth's fundamental approach to lead fretwork. The real beacon in this band, however, is the front woman. The demanding melodies ring out beautifully through the room as she glowers into the sadly stoic audience. The real highlight of their set 'Try' was used halfway through and I couldn't help but feel that this song would really have brought a more impressive punch to a brilliant performance.
Thanks to Altercarnated Photography for the pictures.

(Update 16/11/2010) - Gig Review
Thanks to Alan Hicks for taking the time to review the gig at Dirty South on Friday 12th November. Here's what he had to say about us:
Getting better every time they hit the stage TRAINING ICARUS already have a clutch of melodic songs, each with an unforgettable chorus. Some bands can take years to write material that catches the crowd's attention like 'Nightmares' or 'Try' but TI seem to have harmonies running through their veins. Tonight though it's the titanic 'Inamorato' which catches the ear, its eighties ballad-esque power screaming for a larger venue to stretch its epic structure to full capacity. Placed perfectly in the middle of the set, it encapsulates the whole performance with Martin Eldon's guitar solo being the cherry on top.
Also thanks to 'Martin Hobby' for photographing the night.
